Boyfriend from Hell Tour Finale and Giveaway

Since the last tour stop on the list flaked and didn't post I am posting E's final tour guest blog and giveaway here:

My Day
by E Van Lowe

People have often asked me what my day is like. I am a full time professional writer, and while I am a novelist, I still dabble in TV and film. So I thought I’d give you a sample of a day in the life of E. Van Lowe

I wake up early, but not extremely early—6:30AM. No kids around anymore, so my time in the morning is pretty much my own. The first thing I do after I get up is stretch. I still enjoy playing sports, and the key to saving an aging body from injury is stretching. After the stretch, I make coffee for my wife, who is an executive at one of the networks ( I get my coffee at Starbucks or Peet’s). Next, I check emails and return East Coast business calls. When I am working on a book, I usually read the previous day’s work, and then I throw up… Just kidding about the throw up part. I may do a tiny edit in the morning. But usually I just assess the value of the previous day’s work.

After that, I work out. Usually tennis, sometimes weights and the treadmill. If my assessment of the previous day’s work was positive, I have a good workout. While I am working out, I am also wrapping my head around the current day’s work. I have to tell you, working out, or jogging, or walking are great for putting you in a positive frame of mind for the day’s work. If you don’t do this, you should try it. Working out actually makes me more productive.

After showering, about 10AM, I am ready to tackle the day. Some of you may be thinking I get a late start, but I write 5-10 pages a day most days. I attribute this output to the workout—it energizes me. Some days I have TV or movie meetings. I usually try to avoid these, but I am still fortunate enough to be called in for projects. I like keep my hand in in case something interesting comes along. If I don’t have a meeting, I write all day—sometimes without a break for lunch. Of course, I snack all day as well, so who needs lunch. By the way, I check emails and tweets all day long. Do you? I know have to stop this. I know it’s slowing me down, but I can’t help it. I just have to see if someone has thought of me. In fact, I am stopping right now to check emails…

… Okay, I’m back. Nobody thought of me. I try to keep regular hours, so I knock off around 6 or 7. That’s my day. It’s not very exciting is it? It may not be exciting, but I love my life. I get to do what I once dreamt of doing as a child—write professionally. I am soooo lucky to have this life. Trust me, I know how lucky I am.

Thanks for listening. If you have any questions or comments about my work day, I’d love to hear from you. Speaking of work, the first several chapters (pdf) of my latest novel, Boyfriend From Hell are available for free right now on my website.

Readers can go to http://evanlowe.com/ and click on the Boyfriend From Hell Sample link to get em. The book has received some amazing reviews—mostly four and five stars. A sample of reviews are available on my site as well. If you like the chapters, maybe you’ll even purchase the book. That would be sweet. Peace.

Book Description:
Aww, Hell No!

Fifteen year-old Megan Barnett and her single mom, Suze, have a special relationship—they are friends, close friends, who do almost everything together.

“But come on, guys, she’s my mother… Can I really tell her that while we’re snuggled up on the sofa watching Spider Man Three, I’m secretly undressing James Franco with my eyes? Of course not…”

The special bond takes a turn for the worse when Suze decides to start dating again. She hasn’t had a man in her life since Megan’s father left ten years ago.

Enter two mysterious young men, Megan’s new classmate, sinfully attractive bad boy, Guy Matson, and the dangerously handsome art dealer, Armando. Before long Megan and Suze both wind up in steamy relationships. But neither of the handsome guys is quite what he seems. In fact, one of them is Satan, with his sights set on a new bride. Megan has precious little time to figure out how to stop him. If she doesn’t, either Megan or Suze are quite literally going to HELL.

Boyfriend From Hell is the first book in the Falling Angels Saga from the author of the gruesomely hilarious, Never Slow Dance With A Zombie
